ABOUT DRAWSTAX
It wasn’t the plan — but I’m so glad it happened.

When I first considered opening a shop, it had nothing to do with drawing. In fact, I wasn’t even learning digital art at the time. My creative journey started with a love of photography. In late 2017, I bought a Fujifilm Instax camera and soon found myself surrounded by piles of instant photos with no real way to display them. That’s when the original idea began—creating handmade photo displays. I came up with a name (Instax-n-Crafts), designed prototypes, and started planning a shop.

But reality hit. Balancing a full-time job with the time it would take to create each item just wasn’t sustainable. Still, I wanted a creative outlet. Around this time, I’d bought an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Drawing had always been something I loved—from sketching Simpsons characters on the living room floor as a kid to doodling in notebooks as I got older. So, I gave digital art a go.

At first, my designs were simple. I was rusty. But with time, practice, and passion, I’ve developed my style and skills—and that’s how Drawstax was born.

There’s also something deeply personal at the heart of this project: mental health awareness.
I’ve lived with depression and anxiety for many years, and in 2017, I took the step to get professional help. Talking openly about my experiences changed everything. Art became not just a creative outlet, but a form of expression and healing. Many of my illustrations are inspired by this journey—and through them, I hope to help break the stigma and remind others that it’s okay not to be okay.

Drawstax is more than just a shop—it’s my story, my growth, and my way of turning pain into purpose through creativity.
